CALL FOR A CONGREGATIONAL VOTE
West Gloucester Trinitarian Congregational Church, UCC
A Congregational Meeting has been called for Sunday, June 2, 2019, immediately following the morning worship service to vote on a Motion to authorize the Church Council to enter into a three-year lease with Coveted Yarn, a retail and internet yarn business. Such authorization is required as stated in the Church By-laws, Article VII, 4b.
After the departure of the pre-school in the west wing of the Church, the Council engaged the services of a realtor to find a new tenant. Rental income is a vital source of funding for the Church, and a yarn business desiring to rent both the west wing of the Church and the Ladies’ Parlor was found. Since the Church is in a residential zone, the Church applied to the Gloucester Zoning Board of Appeals for a usage variance for this retail business. The said variance was granted and the Council would like to proceed to enter into such a lease beginning in mid-June.
Should inclement weather or an Act of God result in cancellation of this meeting, it will be held on the following Sunday,
Leslie Pope, Moderator
